Chaos Log Entry 3 - Baron G58 “Ixion”

The Vehicle for the Dream
In the Squawk Series Episode 1, even the airplane has a story. The Beechcraft Baron G58 is not just a simulator asset; it is the vehicle for the dream, the physical object that carries Daniel and Alex - and the player - around the world. It needed a livery worthy of that commitment.
I have spent the past week getting familiar with Blender and the intricacies of airplane livery design. I must say, I am quite pleased with the way it ended up. The Baron hasn't been the easiest airplane to design - its 3D model had its own quirks and issues - but those are happily not visible in-game!

Why Ixion?
The airplane is named Ixion. In Greek mythology, Ixion was bound to an eternally revolving fiery wheel - a man condemned to perpetual torment, spinning endlessly without moving forward.
The name is a powerful anchor for the entire project. For me, the aircraft Ixion represents the turning point: the choice to transcend the cycles of struggle and constraint. The plane itself is the means of breaking the wheel and finding ultimate freedom through flight. The livery design, therefore, tells this exact story of transformation.

The Design Philosophy
The result is a livery that visually captures the story: the duality of light and darkness, day and night, sun and moon, struggle and emergence. Every line and colour choice on the fuselage reflects the journey toward breaking the shackles of the mind.

~~ before the man is made and wings are forged ~~
~~ the man must break into the fire gorged ~~

I am looking forward to sharing the technical details of the livery design and the full narrative behind the name in a future post, but for now, know that when you step into the Baron G58, you are stepping into an aircraft as important as the story itself.
